In June of 2018, my life seemed to unravel. I had just lost my job, and with it, the place I called home. Since the organization’s residence was tied to my work, I was forced to leave. I remember that season vividly—it was heavy, lonely, and painful. One evening, I found myself lying down in a public garden, staring up at the fading sky, weighed down by despair. In that moment, a simple but desperate prayer escaped my heart: “God, You are all I’ve got.”

That prayer became a turning point. It was the seed of many miraculous events that God was about to unfold in my life.

A few months later, in October, I received an unexpected call from a friend. They invited me to Wendo to help with a children’s recital by playing the piano. At the time, I thought it was just a small favor. I had no idea that God was using this opportunity to introduce me to something that would completely transform my journey.

The moment I arrived at Wendo, I felt a deep sense of peace, as though I had finally stepped into a place where my soul could breathe again. Surrounded by children and their joyful energy, something stirred within me. That day, I fell in love with children’s ministry.

That same year, the stewards at Wendo began a residential leaders’ training program. To my surprise, they accepted me into it. It was there that God began to heal the wounds of my past. Through His Word, I discovered direction, purpose, and most importantly, a personal relationship with Jesus that has only grown deeper with time.

Now, seven years later, I look back with gratitude. What started with a broken prayer in a public garden has blossomed into a calling. For seven years, I have been serving faithfully in camps, using music as a tool for discipleship and pouring my passion into children’s ministry. God entrusted me with this work for the advancement of His Kingdom—and I remain forever thankful.
