Becoming a Member of CCI

Membership is designed to encourage, nurture, and connect Associations, Associates and Individuals within the international Christian camping community. 

OUR MISSION

The Mission of Christian Camping International is to promote Christian Camping throughout the world as a means of helping the Church fulfil the Great Commission of Jesus Christ.

OUR VISION

The Vision of Christian Camping International is for Christian camping to be a highly effective and highly valued ministry tool throughout the world supported by a growing alliance of internally strong, sustainable, and growth focused Associations of Christian camps and camping leaders.

STATEMENT OF FAITH

We believe in:

  • The Holy Scriptures as originally given by God, divinely inspired, infallible, entirely trustworthy, and the supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct;

  • The triune God – Father, Son and Holy Spirit;

  • The deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, His substitutionary atonement for sin, His bodily resurrection and His personal, visible return to earth to reign in righteousness and glory;

  • The person of the Holy Spirit and His work of conviction, regeneration and sanctification, who indwells every believer, equipping them with gifts for service and witness;

  • The necessity of new birth, in salvation by faith in Jesus Christ alone, and the importance of a life fully committed to the will of God in Christ;

  • The Church as the one, universal body of Christ who is the Head, called to be God’s redeemed people.

CCI provides three ways to join this global movement:

1.  AS AN ASSOCIATION

Associations are groups of camps or camping ministries that enhance, encourage, and expand the work of Christian Camping in their country or region through mutually beneficial training, networking, sharing of best practices, and common support. 

Membership is exclusive to one Association per country and one per region; members will be expected to be a member of their regional association if it exists in addition to being part of CCI Worldwide.

CRITERIA FOR ASSOCIATION MEMBERSHIP

To become an Association member and to maintain status as an Association, the board or steering committee must, on an annual basis:

1.    Agree with the CCI ‘Statement of Faith’

2.    Agree with the CCI ‘Community’ and ‘Identity’ documents

3.    Make a financial donation to support the ministry and growth of CCI

4.    Submit a report of activity

BENEFITS FOR ASSOCIATION MEMBERSHIP

  1. Invitation to Global and Regional Gatherings

  2. Invitation for a representative to attend the Executive Global Gathering held every three/four years

  3. Listing on the CCI Worldwide website

  4. Part of a global mutual support structure

  5. Regular global communication and sharing of best practice

  6. Use of the CCI logo

  7. Use of the name Christian Camping International and CCI

  8. The opportunity to vote for and serve as a member of the Board of Directors

  9. The opportunity to grow leaders spiritually

There are two types of Association membership:

 

  ESTABLISHED ASSOCIATION

  • With at least one paid employee helping to run the Association

  • With an annual gathering of leaders for planning, fellowship, and training

  • With an established board

  • With a maintained membership, contact or affiliate list

  • With regular communication with their members

  • With an agreement in place and a CCI Coach where appropriate

  • With a clear structure in place for financial accountability and sustainability

  • Committed to making a yearly financial contribution to CCI Worldwide

  • Demonstrating broad engagement through representation of different churches, denominations and/or other ministries from a large geographic area with various styles of Christian camping

 

  DEVELOPING ASSOCIATION

  • With a committed volunteer leader and team running the Association 

  • With an annual gathering of leaders 

  • With a board or steering committee in place

  • With development and maintenance of a participant/subscriber/affiliate list

  • With regular communication with their developing membership

  • With an agreement in place and a CCI Coach

  • With a progression plan in place to move to ‘Established’ membership

  • Committed to making a yearly financial contribution to CCI Worldwide

  • Demonstrating commitment to broad engagement through representation of different churches, denominations and/or other ministries from a large geographic area with various styles of Christian camping

2.  AS A GLOBAL ASSOCIATE

Global Associates are organisations that encourage, deliver, support or enable Christian Camping.

CRITERIA FOR GLOBAL ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP

To become a Global Associate member, they must:

  1. Agree with the CCI ‘Statement of Faith’

  2. Operate or be involved in more than one country

  3. Be excited about the power and potential of Christian Camping to change lives and grow the church globally

  4. Be committed  to pray for the effective ministry and growth of CCI

  5. Have no reduction in any current support to a local CCI Association

​

BENEFITS FOR GLOBAL ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP

  1. Have the ability to tangibly support the growth of the Christian camping movement globally

  2. Invitation to Global and Regional CCI Gatherings

  3. Regular global communication 

  4. Use of the CCI logo on their publications

  5. Use of the name Christian Camping International or CCI on their publications 

  6. Featured and endorsed on the CCI website and App as a global Associate

3. AS A FRIEND

Friends are people, churches, individual camps or organisations who wish to demonstrate their support of the ministry of CCI.

CRITERIA FOR FRIEND MEMBERSHIP

To become a Friend member, they must:

  1. Agree with the CCI ‘Statement of Faith’

  2. Be excited about the power and potential of Christian Camping to change lives and grow the church globally

  3. Be committed to pray for the effective ministry and growth of CCI

  4. Make a financial donation to support the work of CCI each year

​

BENEFITS FOR FRIEND MEMBERSHIP 

  1. Regular global communication

  2. Providing support of a worldwide mission

If you would like to become a Friend of CCI then please complete and submit an application form, using the button below, and we will be in touch with you in regards to this.

Continued Membership

In the event that an Association, Associate or Friend fails to maintain membership requirements, the CEO will have discretion to redefine the membership status or remove a member from the worldwide alliance.
