Ross Bay
More Info
Ross has been involved in Christian camping all his life. His parents took their holidays running children’s camps and when his dad became the founding trustee of Totara Springs Christian Centre in 1967, Ross became part of the volunteer crew. A 2 year break on the mission field in Papua New Guinea led to coming back full time on camp staff, and then director for 14 years. On handing the baton on to the next director, Ross ran another camp for 2 years. Returning back to his home town, Ross started volunteering again at the camp and continues a close support role today. Ross has been on the CCNZ Board since 1992 and was part time CEO for CCNZ for 3 years until the role was able to become a full time paid position. His first international exposure was 1995 ARF in NZ, and he has been on the international scene ever since. This currently involves serving on the CCI Board of Directors, Advocate for East Africa, and Pioneer for West Africa. Ross and Gaylene have 3 children and 4 grandchildren.
