Christian Camping International (CCI) is an alliance of 19 associations around the world. CCI supports Christian camps and camping leaders in 60 countries.
Christian camping is known to exists in an additional 40 countries
without the support of local associations.
Believing that Christian camping is a powerful method to impact people for God’s glory, CCI desires to see Christian camping grow around the world.
On the 20th of each month, CCI encourages people to pause and ask God to raise up the 20th association of camps and camping leaders.
Thank you for praying for the expansion of Christian Camping around the world. Last weekend several summer staff members of a camp near our home came by to wash clothes, take naps, check their e-mails, and eat my wife’s chocolate chip cookies! It was good to hear from these young people how God is using just one Christian camp in Texas to touch many lives. This is being repeated around the world at thousands of Christian camps! Praise the Lord!
This unique ministry is growing in many parts of the world and is often a reflection of the health of the broader Church in that area. Christianity in Europe has been in decline for several decades. Christian camping could be one strategy that God is using to reignite the Church on that continent.
Europe is a continent divided politically, culturally, and linguistically. Seven CCI-Associations work in Europe to support the movement throughout that region of the world. Active Associations exist in the countries of the UK, Spain, Netherlands, Poland, and Romania. Two other associations, CCI-Russia and CCI-Ukraine, support the work in many of the countries of the Former Soviet Union.
Almost all of the other countries in Europe are blessed to have Christian camping ministries active in their areas; however, networks and alignment of support are slow to develop among these individual ministries. Albania, France, and Portugal are three areas where we hope to see relationships develop and networks emerge in the coming years. Germany, Hungry, Italy, Switzerland, Norway and many other European countries have excellent camps and camping ministries that could someday be aligned for greater support and encouragement.
Please pray that God will use Christian camping to re-build His Church on the continent that was once the center of the Christian faith. Please pray specifically for the development of networking relationships in Albania, France, and Portugal. And pray that God would help CCI-Worldwide fulfill its mission: to promote Christian camping throughout the world as a means of helping the Church fulfill the Great Commission of Jesus Christ.
